Course Overview

This course is offered over two Fridays or four evenings subject to demand. 

To train learners, who already have knowledge and skills in gym or exercise to music instruction, to a professionally competent level.

You will gain an Active IQ Award in Instructing Studio Cycling is at level 2.

 

 

Entry Requirements

Learners must hold a Level 2 qualification in Fitness Instructing (Gym/ETM) or equivalent

Learners must be 16+

Some experience of gym based exercises is highly recommended.

The course requires physical exertion and individual participation is essential, therefore a degree of physical fitness is necessary.

There is also an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved, and you should have basic skills in communication pitched at Level 2.

Where will it take me?

This recognised qualification will provide you with the knowledge and skills to enable you to plan, deliver and evaluate safe and effective studio cycling sessions within the working environment to meet legislative guidelines.  

The course can lead to improved career opportunities within the Fitness Industry.

How will I be assessed and given feedback?

Internal assessment comprises of a portfolio of evidence

Portfolio of evidence to include:

  • Instructing a Studio Cycling Session 
  • Planning a Studio Cycling Session 
  • Internally Assessed/Coursework/Portfolio of Evidence/Practical Demonstration

Active IQ Level 2 Award in Instructing Studio Cycling
